Historic Quartz crystal from Dr. Clemente from the Rauris Valley (10.6 cm x 3.5 cm)
This extraordinary Quartz crystal is a piece from the well-known mineral collection of Dr. Josef Clemente from Ruhpolding (1899 - 1987).
He was known for his passion for the Austrian Alps, and therefore his collection focused primarily on alpine minerals from the Rauris region and the Hohe Tauern mountains.
Dr. Josef Clemente died on April 27, 1987 in Ruhpolding-Gruttau at the age of 88.
A slightly skeletonized Quartz crystal from the "Grieswies" area located in the Rauris Valley.
The crystal specimen has a perfect luster and a slightly yellowish color.
The main crystal impresses with its remarkable size of approximately 10.6 cm and inclusions of anatase and Rutile crystals.
To properly showcase this special crystal, we fixed it to a high-quality acrylic glass base using a little hot glue.
